Summary:
Fires and flood is a informational book to inform its readers about fires, the dangers of fires and the consequences to fires. The book also informs the reader about floods, dangers of water and what type of dangers water can turn into.

Personal reaction:
This book was informative about fires and floods. It would be a great book to help explain about current situations.

Extension ideas:
1. I would use this book as part of the weather section in the science book.
2. I would use this book when talking about fire safety.
3. I would use this book when there is a local disaster of a flood or fires.

This book is about how fire and water and help us or hurt us. It shows pictures of large fires and floods.
I think this book would be great in a young classroom. The pictures are great! It is definately a book that I would use in the classroom.
Extensions:
1. I would introduce this book as a part of Fire Prevention Month.
2. After reading this book, we would visit the fire station to learn more about fire safety.
3. I would reread this book in the spring. It could prepare them for the rain and storms that come during that time.
