A Very unique paranormal short story about lost love. It's amazing but it pulled at my heart in such a short time. ( )

"2.5 out of 5 stars, this novella is clever, sweet, and very intense. I really liked the fantasy aspect of it, especially how just by wishing and her love Crew came back for short periods of time.

The only reason I didn't give this a better rating was because ..."

kay, the cover of A Love Soul Deep by Amber Scott got my attention. Any woman would take a second glance at that. Then there was the blurb that got me. An antique store; a locket; a dead lover; ghosts. I'm hooked.

If I say much more about the book itself, I'll give too much away. So, that is all you get from me on that. Let's move on to the technical and not so technical parts.

First, this is a novella. You are not getting a full novel with this. Be aware of that. I hate to get something and find out it is not quite what I was thinking it was. I'm not a fan of novellas, but this one couldn't be anything but. It's perfect in the size it is in. Many times I think a novella could have been expanded more into a full length novel, but not this one. Ms. Scott kept it just the right size for the story.

It is paranormal. There are a few hot and heavy scenes. Don't like these, don't read it. Like these, please read it. Ms. Scott's dialogue and character development is wonderful. She creates a story with depth as there are multiple people involved with each of them playing a part. If you have me smiling at the end and wanting more, you have succeeded. I want more of Ms. Scott's writing. It was a perfect read for an afternoon and quick when I didn't have time.

Note: This book was purchased with my own funds. ( )
