can someone who is not a native buffalonian but has a great affinity for the people and city of buffalo become a member of the group?

Only if they currently live in Brooklyn, have visited the Buffalo region at least a dozen times in the past two decades and consider themselves true Sabres fans :) Of course you're welcome to join our group, cdyankeefan!

There's a reason our region is known as "the City of Good Neighbors!"

and i would definitely believe it based on the wonderful experiences and people i have met in western new york through the years

Not to mention all the prolific authors the Buffalo region has spawned (and I'm not just referring to Taylor Caldwell OR Joyce Carol Oates!)

I was actually referring to all of our local authors (the 20+ folks who have published with our company, including Gromosiak, Mason Winfield, etc.)

oh ok- how is paul? I cant decide if i should start the road next or keep on with harry potter or the heart shaped box- so many many choices and so little time

Paul has had a rough winter. He has been in the hospital twice for a yet-to-be- diagnosed condition that manifests itself as vertigo. But he's hangin' in there.
I have "The Road" on order at the library. Very much looking forward to it.

I just finished a book that focuses on Buffalo's topsy-turvy history (see review of "City on the Edge.") Buffalo defenders may scoff at some of the author's blistering critiques, but he effectively red-flags many of the region's planning blunders.

Greetings Guys!

This is Cathy from Buffalo, signing on for the first time. My pref is that of true crime with a definite slant on those nasty serial killer kinds. You know the type, huh Carmella????
