I know, this is kind of a hot-button topic.

I'll start this post by letting everyone know that I'm not a fan of hers.  I don't hate her or the horse she rode in on, I feel no ill-will toward her, I'm just not a fan.

However, I find it sickening that she alone is bearing so much garbage for her fling.  I'm sorry if this upsets the Twitards (not a term I'd apply to anyone here; we know who the tards are), but Kristen and Rob are not fairytale characters.  Yes, Kristen goofed.  It was stupid, she'll be kicking herself for a while yet, but she wasn't the first and she won't be the last.

I don't know the name of the 40-something director with whom she was flinging, and I don't care to look it up, but he is a married father of two. <rhetorical question> Why is there so little grief being flung his way? </rhetorical question>

Has anyone else had a problem with this?  I do feel that Kristen deserves a swift kick for her foolishness, but I do feel bad for her.

I've felt the same way. Kristen is a Hollywood twenty-something who's still getting her brain together, whereas that turd of a director was a grown man with kids and should've known better. Doesn't excuse what she did, but I'd be laying more blame at his feet.

You have a good point. The only reason the director's not getting the flack is that because the woman he cheated on is unknown, whereas Kristen happened to cheat on the person that half the female population of the world is lusting after.

I am so out of it! What happened with Kristen Stewart?!? I haven't heard a thing about this incident.

Kristen Stewart cheated on Robert Pattinson with the married director of "Snow White and the Huntsman." All of the Twi-hards have since been jumping all over Stewart.

She had a fling with the 40-something married director of Snow White and the Huntsman.

ETA:  Heh, I'm slow on the draw.

Although I'm cynical enough that seeing as it was so conveniently caught on camera, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a publicity stunt to attract more attention for "Snow Whie and the Huntsman." Probably not, but cynicism is my reaction to most such things these days.

i didnt find this out until just today. my mom and i were in the bookstore and she suddenly bursts out...."did you know that the girl from twilight cheated on that guy from twilight?" it cracked me up because she was so proud she knew something. haha anyhoo.

yea never been a big fan and honestly could care less about what she does.
on a side note....she was half way decent in Snow White(in my opinion).

Probably a result of all that pent up energy from being bland in Twilight.  She could finally let loose and emote.

I still haven't seen snow white, I'm a little scared to, i'm not good with scary, goorey, movies. Is it really bloody and dark? Because that was what I thought it would be.

Okay they maybe I will check it out.
By the way I just saw two "People" Magazine covers from June and July saying that Rob and Kristen are having a Baby together. Truth or just a publicity stunt? Thoughts?

im thinking rumor?

Yeah, just a rumor.  Those pieces of garbage are nothing but sensationalism, and if Kristen and Rob stayed together, it might have been true...in a year or two.

If it's true (I don't feel certain that it is, but even the possibility bothers me) that Kristen Stewart is being dropped from Snow White sequels due to the cheating "scandal," then I call foul:

http://geektyrant.com/news/2012/8/14/universal-drops-kristen-stewart-from-snow-w...

When's the last time a male actor got blackballed by a studio for cheating? Or for equally bad behavior? Hasn't Robert Downey Jr. been given a dozen "second" chances after screwing up over and over? Didn't Brad Pitt dump his wife for Angelina Jolie?

And how about that director that raped a minor?  Pulling a blank on the scum's name.

Roman Polanski. That SCUMBAG! And Hollywood just adores him, of course.

"Trampire": Why the Public Slut Shaming of Kristen Stewart Matters for Young Women by Nico Lang

I kinda feel everyone should read this article.  I know that we see the disgusting double-standard, here, but it's nice to see our feelings put into print and read by the masses.  This is especially important for all Twilight fans to read.  Please pass it along.

Haha, "Trampire" who comes up with a name like that?

Will Ferrell coined the term.  I'm not a fan of his, but his loyal followers assure us that he was making fun of people's obsession rather than making fun of Stewart.  Either way, I don't find it to be a laughing matter.

Excerpt: Chris Brown can publicly beat the hell out of his girlfriend but still
be played on the radio and win Grammys. However, if you ever cheat on your
boyfriend, your life is over and no one will ever want to be associated with you.
Almost no one will blame the much-older guy you cheated with, and it might
actually make him more famous and help his career.
