What do you think Layla called Bosch in the early hours whilst he was with Eleanor?

She knew he was looking for her and would in all probability find her so why wait to be found.

I agree that she might just be contacting him because she knows that he is looking anyway, but might she not also have other motives? Perhaps she needs protection and a police officer might be the lesser of two evils.

I think she wanted more information about Aliso’s death-and perhaps she has information to give him that will help his investigation.

I don’t know. But a 4am phone call sounds desperate.
