We started and ended with Death Comes for the Archbishop on the last thread, so my post is:

Death by the Light of the Moon by Joan Hess

Edited to remove suggestion.

2CD1am
Aug 26, 2008, 4:18 pm

I have always tried to not reuse the same word that the previous title played off of, but that does require people to give some decent choices in the titles they post. Of course, some people are exceptional in posting long titles, while the rest of us, me included, post titles with only one or two other choices for words to play off of. Thus I'm afraid it would reduce the number of people participating or the frequency of the posts if people are limited in reusing a word, so I think we should leave it open.

How to Cook a Wolf by M. F. K. Fisher (I believe this is a rerun, but I wanted the thread to show on my posts)

I don't think we should change the rules. For awhile I was having fun entering only books with one word titles; each person plays the game for their own reasons, and the game has been successful so far.

Robert

Fields of Fire A Novel by James Webb (read 5 Mar 2001)

I still think a plural word is not the same as the singular word unless it is spelled the same. And a word with an apostrophe in it is not the same as a word without the apostrophe. And a hyphenated word is not the same as one of its parts. This game is very easy, but we should not make it too easy, I suggest. As for repeating the repeated word, I kind of think it is neat to see how long one word can last....
