I really liked the concept and the world that the author created. The whole idea that love is a disease is a really good idea for a dystopia book, something I've never seen before anyways. I was really excited to read about that kind of world. I was a little disappointed with the main character. She just kind of say around waiting for everyone else to do things instead of doing it herself. I was willing to ignore all the things I didn't like about her though because the plot was so good. The other characters weren't too bad with was good because I couldn't deal with another bad character. I'm pretty happy with how this book turned out. audio. The reader is wonderful!! Absolutely wonderful!! But it reached a point where I had to devour the book quicker - I had to jam through pages and pages just to know!!! I had to know! What an amazing story. I can't wait to read the next book and know where Lena's, Alex's and Hanna's next steps take them. This book has an enticing premise - a dystopian world where love is thought of as a disease? It peaked my interest right away. The three stars are because the plot moves along fairly slowly at first and because I knew Lena was going to have her "breakaway" moment, I had to keep reading. I'm glad I did, though. Her story, and Alex, and well-developed and the author used the slow lead-in to almost strengthen their bond. The writing is much better than other YA novels I have read, and I enjoy [a:Lauren Oliver|2936493|Lauren Oliver|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1416335442p2/2936493.jpg]'s active descriptions of place and feeling. Looking forward to how this story evolves. no reviews | add a review
