Reread recently. Chiri and his master head into unknown and almost inaccessible country in search of possible survivors of a plane crash. Enjoyable, but I did not like it as much as its predecessor, Snow Dog. ( )

First words
Chiri, the Snow Dog, had been hunting all night. An hour before dawn he found the trail of a snowshoe rabbit, and spent half an hour running the rabbit down.
