It is set in a world between the worlds Earth and Ki:mera called Co:pernica. There lives a boy named David. He is the main character of this book. He is apparently ecc:entric so he is sent to the librarium. Meanwhile at his dads lab he creates a time rift and makes the whole Co:pernica have a time shift fast forwarding to 8 years. At the librarium David meets two new people Rosa and Mr. Henry. And because of the time shift they embark on a marvelous adventure. I honestly love this book. Its apart of the Last Dragon Chronicles which has 7 novels. This is my favorite series so far and i hope that everyone would Love It. Whats special about these books is that they have a hint of suspense at the end of the book. So you could look forward to the next book to come at your local library. This book is the 6th book of the 7 book series. Everyone should read this series. Fire World, by Chris d'Lacey, is the sixth installment in the Last Dragon Chronicles. The book is set in an alternate dimension, called Co:pernica, where the characters from the previous books reappear, even though they themselves know nothing of this. In this dimension, people can imagine anything and it appears. David has a hyperactive imagination, and so is sent to a large"librarium", where he meets Rosanna and Mr.Henry, where they learn about dragons and the firebirds who live upstairs. His dad, Harlan is sent to the Dead Lands for opening a dimension rift and letting the Ix in; there he meets a tribe of "dangerous" people and they disable a taxicar and return to the Central. His mom, Eliza, almost becomes an aunt and gives birth to Penny. Everyone ages eight years in a second because of the dimension rift, Mr.Henry dying. Aunt Gwyneth is also back, trying to seize power for herself and joining forces with the Ix until the Cluster is destroyed. The librarium is transformed into an ark after a flood, carrying a species of every animal. Soon they find land, and David sets out to help the David in our world. As always, this book was great. The writing is very nice, and the characters are well developed. I would say this is the book where d'Lacey fully moves to sci-fi. The parallel dimension is well built, and I could identify all of the references to our world. I just wish one of the books David picks out was "Lord of the Rings". Or maybe it would be "Lord of the Bracelets"? Anyway, it was a great book and a joy to read. What's next? This book was great! This is a totally different books compared to the earlier books in this serease. In this book David is in a whole other world. This book just like all the others with alot of action and drama. And of cours there are sybelles but there not called that in this. What is there name in this and what is this world like? im not telling just read it trust me its good. no reviews | add a review

I love the last dragon chronicles and this was not what i was expecting, this is both good and bad. Good because it shows that Chris D' Lacey is an exceptionally good writer and can imagine out of the box. Bad because i really enjoyed the previous novels storyline.
This is taking the characters out into a different dimension, while it has a lot to do with Davids farther and time change it doesn't have a certain spark like the others.
It took me about three times of picking this up and putting it down before reading it all and i found some of it not holding my attention
However i am delighted to say that Gwilanna is still her usual terribly terrible self and makes for a good bad aunt.
It was a mix of really enjoying this and not but i enjoyed it more than i didn't so once again a good read from the last dragon chronicles.
I hope the next one is back to errr..normal? lolz ( )
