This book is incredibly appropriate for children who have a parent living with cancer. However, it was not appropriate for my family. My 4 year old is a little too young to understand what cancer is but that didn't keep her from asking questions. I cried while reading the book. I would buy this book for a fellow mom friend if she was diagnosed with cancer and wasn't sure how to talk to her children about it. Pros: This book appropriately explains to children what to expect when their parents have cancer. There's more to our review. Visit The Reading Tub®.
