This book demonstrates a kindness in such a gentle way. A mother is a cancer patient. Her daughter is her best medicine, because she brings her smiles, love, and kindness. This is the best remedy for anyone that is ill.

This story brings up the sensitive subject of cancer. It tells children what someone with cancer may be going through. It also encourages them to give them love because they really need it.

This book was about a mom having cancer and telling her daughter how everything was going to be okay. She explained each stage and how things were going to get better and things that would make her happy. This was a sweet book. I loved this book although it was sad. ( )

This book is incredibly appropriate for children who have a parent living with cancer. However, it was not appropriate for my family. My 4 year old is a little too young to understand what cancer is but that didn't keep her from asking questions. I cried while reading the book.

I would buy this book for a fellow mom friend if she was diagnosed with cancer and wasn't sure how to talk to her children about it.

Pros: This book appropriately explains to children what to expect when their parents have cancer.
