Fun, kind entertaining, but kind boring... It took me a while to read, it's unique in a way, it's a bit silly story but if you are looking for a fun, light read then do give it a try! Honestly, vampire books are just mehhh, only because I'm going to always compare them to The V Games Series by Caroline Peckhma. This is an Awesome book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (If anyone thinks I overuse the word Awesome, you're probably right, but it's just such an Awesome word.) Pearl is one of the coolest vampires i've come across, but in a different way from other vampire stories/heroines like Rose (Vampire Academy) or Dru (Strange Angels). Possibly because at the start, she's a full vampire, pretty much heartless and soulless. but, throughout the book, we see her growing conscience and humanity and its an interesting journey. I just read the book yesterday, and i'm not sure if even I can determine the exact point where she started about the humans around her and in her life. (of course, everyone else probably thinks its when she screamed "Vampires!!!" in the cafeteria, cuz that's the obvious I-don't-want-all-these-humans-to-die moment, but i think it happened before that) plus, I LOVE THE FREAKING WERE-UNICORN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no reviews | add a review

I don't know. I wanted to love this. The cover is gorgeous. The synopsis sounded so funny and light
and this is a very light read. I guess I expected to laugh more. It just seemed to drag in the middle as the went through the mundane parts of highschool, trained with her hot vampire guy and just...
I don't know. it just didn't hold my attention as much as I'd hoped.
I did enjoy it, though, and I it was interesting. ( )
