Barricaded into a gloomy flat in Stockholm, Klas Ostergren writes the story of how he came to this sorry state. It is a tale of two strands: the intriguing Morgan brothers - the 'gentlemen', with Klas, of the title; and a dark secret that goes right to the heart of their country." That’s about how it feels.
Östergren has a fantastic ability to give his characters life. And not only the main characters, but all of them. All supporting characters feels alive, too. Everything seemingly comes easy from this author’s hand. Apparently without effort he describes two brothers’ (very different?) faiths of life, and are able to squeeze himself in – realistically –too.
