- Main treatise in prose of the great mystic poet Yalal al-Din Rumi, this work -compiled by Eva de Vitray Meyerovitch, professor at the universities of Al-Azhar and Cairo- constitutes an extensive compilation of conversations of the master with his disciples in which it delves into various topics, depending on the inspiration of the moment or the occasions propitiated by the circumstances. On the one hand, then, and as befits a book of this kind, it is an absolutely disjointed text: it is useless to seek a real continuity between the issues addressed, let alone a doctrinal discourse. On the other hand, however, and paradoxically, it is possible to locate a common thread under the multiplicity of allusions, anecdotes, quotations and digressions: it is an underlying unit that turns out to be the essential characteristic of Rumi's works, an abundance of themes always independent of each other, which, however, overlap and overlap, linked together like the pearls of a necklace. Thus, the style of these talks is familiar and simple and is based on the language that was spoken at the time in the cultured environments, but its content is of great richness and complexity: topics such as spiritual communication between teacher and disciple, the the nature of man as a reflection of God, the mystical search, love, prayer, the essence of knowledge or the problem of evil and suffering, linking with the verses of the Qur'an and the words of the Prophet, end up giving rise to a book the magical and realistic time, literary and didactic, that identifies the reader with the disciple to awaken his dormant soul.

Paidos
ha publicado Igualmente 150 cuentos sufies, una
pequeña parte del Matnawl su obra principal.
