And her sister is the enchantress who broke his heart. Deme Chattox isn't looking for a man. Especially a bad boy like Cal, even though every inch of her body remembers the magic of his touch. What she is looking for is her little sister...and Deme is determined to find her without Cal's expertise. The other Chattox sisters--and their mystical powers--are all the help she needs. That is, until they unearth a terrifying secret buried deep underground--and Deme finds herself possessed by a desire that threatens to destroy her. No library descriptions found. |

Heroine Deme Chattox goes to Colyer-Fenton college as a resident assistant, trying to blend in and talk to the girls on campus to see if they know anything about what happened to her sister Aurai. An undercover Chicago cop, Cal Black, is assigned to this case. Cal and Deme had a romantic relationship a year ago but Deme broke it up. As a cover they pretend that they are lovers while they look for Aurai.
Eventually Deme's other three sisters arrive at the college to help find the missing Aurai. They notice a lot of strange things happening at this college... all the girls at the college are extremely beautiful and perfect, Deme's room has a strange vine growing outside her window that seems to have a life of its own, why are the co-ed's having ceremonies in the forbidden garden? And are the Chattox sisters somehow connected to the victims of a fire that happened at the college thirty years ago? While they search for answers something seems to be trying to kill them.
This was an exciting and captivating read. I liked Deme, she was a strong and gutsy heroine. Cal was a good hero. I liked Deme's sisters and the fact that they were all witches. I found the storyline interesting and different. I liked the college campus setting.
A fun, spooky read with great atmosphere and some hot love scenes. ( )
