A lovely easy to read book about friendships. Briggsy is carnival folk - a boy who never stays in any one place for very long as the carnivals move on, so will he. Minnie is captivated from day one as he has learnt so many things that he teaches her and her boyfriend - cooking, about grabbing a bargain and about trust. But Minnie is devastated when she sees Briggsy steal something from a car boot sale. Were all the things he told her about himself lies? Who can she trust? ( )
