This book is quirky and a quick read. The dialogues were written like a script format, which is fine by me. I know others have commented on the lack of character building but I sort of forgot about those details once the plot thickens.

I was caught up in the suspense of evidence of lack of that I forgot to ask "who exactly is Dani?" Besides the few paragraphs of what happened to her. I think somewhere in the book, there was a lesbian relationship.

Ahhh but forget that. We have to figure out how the boys found the strawberries!!! That was more interesting.

Overall. Its a fun read. The ending was fine but predictable. ( )

Dani is a great character, smart, sassy, and funny. The story twists and turns quite well, and it was an enjoyable read. ( )

I enjoyed reading the book and the aha moments. It was a little too convenient for it all to work. I still didn't like what Riley did even if was to fund a charity. Also I don't think there's a 17 year old who could act and do as Riley did. But I wasn't bored with the book at all. ( )

The Characters

Dani Ripper

The Story

Nothing too terrible with this one other than it’s not grabbing me. I am slightly interested in who Dani’s partners are but not enough to continue. *sigh*

The Random Thoughts

*DNF so no rating

I couldn’t stop reading this book because I'm dying to know what really happened during that one night of partying/ teenage drinking. It’s like an episode of CSI, but with a big dose of Nancy Drew and more humor. ( )

This book was nothing like a thought it would be. But it was pretty great despite that.

And I loved that twist at the end, I didn't quite see that coming.

I like Dani and I'll probably read more of this series. She's smart and sexy and savvy, and so strong. I loved how she was so passionate about catching the bad guys, the predators. I wasn't sure about Riley at first, but by the end she was every bit as amazing as Dani.

Ethan was vile, absolutely vile. And he was meant to be. I'm just a little disappointed that he didn't get properly punished. What's a few million dollars to someone that rich?

Overall a great read, which I'd recommend to pretty much anyone. I'd say this is a New Adult Crime Thriller Mystery, what a mix. ( )
