College student Lilly is doing a ride along with Jake, a sergeant for the sheriff’s department, and she doesn’t understand the tension between them. When he’s called to check out a possible B&E, he tells her to wait in the car until it’s safe. She doesn’t listen, and the cop blackmails her into getting naked. Then the fun starts.
Despite the use of passive voice and some typos, the writing flowed well and kept my attention. I enjoyed the story, but I don’t like it when police officers abuse their power, especially with what’s going on in the real world right now. For the sake of erotica, however, the plot device fits.

3.75 Steamy Naughty Stars

Well, this is another book that I have read before that disappeared off my shelves.
Thank goodness it was a VERY hot and steamy short read.
I really need to make a shelf for Erotic Fantasy ( )

Lilly has been doing a ride along with Sgt. Jake Simmons to complete her internship for graduation. Jake tells Lilly they got a call for a possible break-in. They go to the house and Jake tells her to stay in the car. Thinking he is taking too long, she goes into the house only to find Jake is okay and there are no perps. Jake tells her she disobeyed orders and he has to write her up. Lilly believes that will ruin her chances to graduate. Is she right? What will she do? Will she give in to Jakes suggestions?

I enjoyed this story. It just started and then it was over. It was too short. I want to know what happens to Jake and Lilly. I liked the two of them. Both were reserved but enjoyed themselves. I hope they got into a relationship. ( )

"Oh my! He liked me so much he raped me! I'm so happy and excited now!" (not an actual quote; actual quote was: "Jake liked her? He had wanted her badly enough to blackmail her? She should have been angry...but she really wasn't.")

Rape play, dominance and submission, pet-play, etc. is one thing. Rape? Actual rape? Is rape.

Hot young woman. Hot muscle-man. Man with tons of strength and in a heightened position of power. Woman in vulnerable position. He rapes her. I do not find that to be what I would normally think of as "erotic sex". But a story of rape and betrayal. She respected him. Looked up to him. Expected him to do what was right. She was worried when he disappeared. She followed him to see if he needed help. He grabbed her, blackmailed her, and raped her.

"Oh hell...who was she trying to fool? She just had the most mind-blowing sex of her life and she wanted this man." (actual quote after the rape).

This is a very disturbing story on many levels. A man in power. A vulnerable woman. She liked it. So obviously rape is ok, right? Because she liked it this time? Fucking story sickens me. ( )

Hmm...I was expecting this just to be some erotic get together and not end with feelings being involved and was pleasantly surprised. ( )
