The trail passes through some of the most spectacular scenery to be seen in Britain. It's the longest National Trail in the country and encompasses some of the finest coastal scenes to be experienced anywhere.
Intending to do this very walk, I bought this book to glean as much information about it as possible. More than just pleased I am with the purchase. The book is filled with useful information, both for the novice walker and the hardened veteran. Beautiful colour photographs throughout, are candy to the eyes, realising that the actual scenes are going to be even better.
From where to stay, eat, get totally rat-arsed, rest-up or just wash your socks, to useful information about public transport and emergency services and how to get their help should you need it - it's all in here.
Well worth a tenner even if you don't want to do the walk - the information about the history and the natural resources and wildlife of the areas passed through, are interesting enough in themselves.
A very good purchase. ( )
