You're Purrfect to Me (Earesistables)

The one thing I really like about this book is that it has fur and satin ears that a baby or toddler can play with while the story is being read to them.

What I don't like is the "stitching" effect around the pictures and the made up word "purrfect."

The text is also mixed in style and color. This actually works against symbol recognition in language acquisition.

The text is rhyming but doesn't lend itself to a workable rhythm. So it is not a good read aloud, but it is way to "young" for an independent reader. ( )
