The only thing you have a right to do is decide whether you are her enemy or her friend." well....this was a very good middle of a series book. I found it tough to get through....but I know it was necessary. It set up the story, gave us a lot of background and...continued the story. But gah, I found it boring boring boring. It wasn't the action and adventure the last one was for me. and my favorite characters...are still apart. And they are making plans, promises, oaths and handshakes that will keep them good and apart for the books to come. I hope the next one continues the story but finally makes some forward motion. Alright. First of all, Maas is yet again being rude and HURTING ME. Second - can we just talk about Manon for a minute. I will be devastated if she and her utterly magnificent beast don't become a positive part of this series. Devastated. Third - are you freaking kidding me with the ending!?!? Gah... This review contains spoilers for books three through six in the series! You have been warned! Heir of Fire isn't just Celaena's story. New characters emerge, adding depth and intrigue to the narrative. The bond that forms between Celaena and a compelling new character is a highlight, shifting from initial tension to a powerful connection. Their dynamic is perfectly captured by Celaena's declaration, "I claim you as my friend," a line that speaks volumes about the importance of loyalty and trust. The final line, "She lifted her face to the stars. She was Aelin Ashryver Galathynius, heir of two mighty bloodlines, protector of a once- glorious people, and Queen of Terrasen. She was Aelin Ashryver Galathynius— and she would not be afraid." Shows truly how far Celaena has come and how she is embracing the next step of her journey ( )
