The two characters, a rabbit and a pig, reminded me a bit of my sister and I. (She would have been the rabbit.) The rabbit and pig illustrate how people can express the same emotions in different ways -- one person might hide when feeling shy, while another might put on a fake smile.
The illustrations are lovely, and there's a great attention to detail throughout the book, from the little frog reacting to each scene to the use of a different typeface for each of the characters.
