I'm so glad my little local library got a copy, and the big one in the city got several. Clearly explained so even the youngest school-age children will get it. Not traumatic. Back matter. I knew nothing of this fight, nearly a decade before Brown. I will look for more by the author. (#OwnVoices) This book is about how Sylvia looked different and was not allowed to do certain things other people would. Her family tried really hard to fight for their right to be places because they were American citizens. You could use this book to talk about how everyone is equal and we shouldn't judge or discriminate people for how they look. no reviews | add a review
