Lending I bought this 1938 book because I'd listened to a library copy of Linda Fairstein's The Bone Vault, part of which takes place in the Cloisters. This book turned out to be more interesting than I expected. Admittedly, most of what I know about monastic life in Medieval times comes from reading historical mysteries set in that period. Although the photos are in black and white, they're very attractive. The floor plans were helpful. Too bad my 6th grade field trip to New York didn't include a visit to this museum. no reviews | add a review
