Major events unfold in Book 8 of the Rylee series. I didn’t rate it more highly because I felt the writing was a bit shallow considering the important plot developments. But finally, what we’ve guessed was happening is true. The series has gone on slightly too long for me, but I will read it to the end, plus all the novellas for the backstory. no reviews | add a review

War is nearly upon them, and the demons will have their pint of blood...one way or another. I am their last hope in bringing home the lost ones. I salvage what they cannot. The clock is ticking and I can feel the weight of the final battle with the demon hordes looming over my head. The puzzle pieces are becoming clearer, but the casualty list is growing. And with each name that is added to those we've lost, my confidence cracks a little more. Yet there is hope...A child saved...A life lost...A prophecy fulfilled. It's only been five fkn months? Are you kidding me? I feel like it's been decades.
Her uncle was in love with her mother? Wow. Family drama.
Pamela's the best. It sucks she keeps getting kidnapped. It's not doing much for her self-esteem.
Ooh Zorro. Or Marco. Whatevs.
Oh Alex. Way to blow it.
No, not Berget. After all the drama getting her back. Not fair.
Aww Pamela, happy they're together and then being split up again.
Fk Milly. What bad timing. Yes Orion, won't you just fucking die already? Hehe.
Okay, didn't see that coming. Milly's dead. I have such conflicting feelings about her. But her death makes me sad.
Pamela’s mouth dropped open. “How did Alex know?” Alex grunted and rolled to his back, tongue flipping out between his teeth as he grinned up at us. “I is smarty smart now.”
Mayer, Shannon. Wounded (A Rylee Adamson Novel, Book 8) . Hijinks Ink Publishing. Kindle Edition.
Yep. Alex be smart.
Yeah, I just want Beauty to be killed and be done with it. Nothing but fucking trouble.
Uh oh. Orion knows. And Rylee still doesn't.
Ooh Pam and Frank. Yeah I don't like it.
Hey I thought she couldn't remember Caleb? Aww, Berget standing by Rylee.
Yay no more Beauty. Hate that bitch.
No. Don't start saying goodbyes. You'll make me cry. Jeez Liam - Pamela? Really?
Well at least he's finally off the Will thing.
No. no no no no no no bloody well no. Rylee don't abandon Pamela without saying goodbye. Damn it. It's bad enough what Liam asked her to do. Bad enough when you ran from Liam but this is Pamela. I love Rylee, I do but sometimes she just doesn't think. I like that Liam is still with her - that they bound their souls. Or I would be crying a whole lot more than I am. I hate this series sometimes.
