The story line gets lost in the blow by blow :-) description of all the sex that goes on!! I would rather have something left to my imagination. Couldn't be bothered to finish it when there are so many other good books out there to read. ( )

I've read others in this series but hadn't read book 1, so it had a familiarity which didn't offer too many surprises, though the link to previously encountered characters was good. A quick distraction is about the sum of it. ( )

“I might not have any right to your love, and it might be stolen, but it’s mine and it’s precious and you can’t have it back.”
― Meghan March, Beneath This Mask

I try to express only my most honest opinion in a spoiler free way. If you feel anything in my review is a spoiler and is not already hidden in spoiler brackets please let me know. Thank you.
After Charolettes father is convicted for scamming people out of a HUGE amount of money. She becomes Charlie and starts life over in New Orleans. There she has friends a bed buddy and her baby, a dog. She has two jobs, one being at a tatoo parlor, and thats were she meets Simon. The attraction between them is instant. What's worse is that he turns out to be a great guy that Charlie could truely fall for, but there is more than just the lies between them. Simon is in politics and tends to draw media attention, and she can't risk being recognized.
I listened this on audio. I couldn't stop. It was a really great story. I didn't really like the narrator who did Simon's part but other than that there is no complaints with the audio. As for the book itself, its a romance, and it has got some very steamy scenes. Which I love, but not everyone does. Definitely an adult only book. There was some great nail biting scenes too. And there are definitely feeling to be felt here.
How I choose my rating:
1* Did not finish, or hated it but forced myself to finish.
2** Didn't really like it. Didn't hate it but not sure why I finished it other then for some closure.
3*** I liked it. I had some issues with it, but as a whole it was good. I probably won't reread again ever, but there is a chance I might finish the series. (If part of one) But if not it's not a huge loss.
4**** I really liked this book. Maybe not a work of genius, but highly entertaining. I might reread this again, and I will finish the series. (If part of one) I would recommend to those I know hold interest in this books content.
5***** I loved this book. I found little to no issues with it at all. I will definitely be rereading this and probably more than once. I will finish the series and reread it multiple times. (If part of one) I will recommend this book to EVERYONE!!!!

A Rollercoaster romance with and unconventional heroine

The characters were easy to get along with and the story was a little thrilling in its own way. There were a few moments where they made choices that made you roll your eyes, but for the most part well written and well thought out. I loved everything about Charlie, and Simon was pretty dreamy. ( )
