Most kids will probably like it more than I did. 'Course, I never liked [b:Chicken Little|6106591|Chicken Little|Rebecca Emberley|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1441508736l/6106591._SX50_.jpg|6283948] either; how could 'people' be such blind sheep? *

Anyway, I loved the poor possum, first knocked out by skunk's 'oopsie' and then dragged around by its tail every time it tried to play dead.

And I like enough about the art and the book to want more by Marino.

*(Well, tbh, as an adult I have that question irl. :sigh:.) ( )

Nice illustrations, but when my children flipped through it they found it a bit scary. I found reading it in silly voices helped that. But they didn't want to read it a second time and we returned it to the library quickly. ( )

This book is very cute and child friendly. It has a lot of literary elements and cute pictures. ( )

The illustrations are great, and the story is very cute. Poor night animals don't even know they're night animals! I love the panel after the bat tells them that they ARE night animals - ohhhhhhh!
