This is a cute book that teaches children about fire safety in a fun and educational way. While on a field trip with the rest of her class, Audrey meets a cool little pup named Cosmo. Cosmo tells her all about fire safety and introduces her to some of his safety-minded friends. I really enjoyed looking at the pretty illustrations, and I think this would be a good book for a young family to read together. ( )

I received this from Library Thing to read and review. This book presents a great introduction to the firehouse and fire prevention for young children. The book is unique in that the author presents the basics of good fire prevention in a unique way that will definitely speak to young children. While on a class trip to the firehouse, Audrey encounters Cosmo, who provides the lessons in fire prevention. The pictures are well done and very colorful and will appeal to young children. The way the author has Cosmo introduce his “friends”, those things that help us in fire prevention, complete with mini lessons about fire and what it is. I thoroughly enjoyed reading through the book and I am sure young children will also. Once again. Speedy Publishing has provided a great mechanism to teach young children. ( )
