This is the musical version of Charles Dickens' classic tale of A Christmas Carol. After a long life of living for only himself and money, Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by three ghosts- the Ghost of Christmas Past, the Ghose of Christmas Present, and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. As he passes through time, he realizes how empty and self-absorbed his life has been. Will his experiences with these ghostly visits bring him to his senses? There were many wonderful musical compilations throughout the film. One of my favorites of this classic movie. Highly recommend.
The story was half-way cribbed from Dickens, but too much to stand alone and not enough to be authentic. The music was okay, but I was not convinced by Finney's performance. ( )
