Overall I think the book was good, but I think the ending was contrived and I'm still upset about Fiona, y'all. But it was a good conclusion to the series and in a lot of ways I was really happy with it. You can't have everything you want in a book =). So, 4.5 out of 5 stars. I would recommend this book and series. ( ) This is a fitting end to this trilogy - it showed us new aspects of being a peculiar, a greater understanding of how loops work. I thought the ending was a bit too easy, but it is a children's book, with an interesting world but fairly standard characters. I wish more was covered about the hallows - they are victims in this story, Peculiars who got mixed up in an experiment. I liked that Jacob never succumbed to taking drugs. However, I understand Caul's dislike of the Ymbrynes- they are incredibly powerful, there's not a lot of them, and they don't allow for discussion. A good conclusion to the trilogy. This series was an enjoyable, easy read. Obvious good and bad guys with great world building for those that like escaping reality. There was enough action to keep you awake, and almost enough almost enough character development to make you care how it all ends. Might read again one day.
