This book is a great informational book for any young child interested in learning more about the Titanic. I know personally I found myself very interested in the sinking of the Titanic at a young age, but I never had a book such as this one available for me to read. It will for sure be a book that I will keep in my classroom for any history lovers. I love that this book is a chapter book, but it also has pictures avaiable throughout. I think by putting the pictures in the book really keeps the child reading it engaged. All of the pictures included in this book are actual pictures from their journey. The main idea of this book was to just educate its reader on this extremely sad event that way it doesn't get lost and forgotten. All in all , I thought this book was a great informational read. ( )

This book is about a crew who finds the Titanic ship in the Atlantic Ocean. The story is told through a twelve year old named Ruth, and her experience when the ship was sinking. The book changes dates and tells the stories of both Ruth, and the crew who found the sunken ships close to seventy five years later. It talks of how they explored the sunken ship and all that was with it, and how this was such a huge discovery.

This book is good for two reasons. The first reason is that it follows the story of a man, and his team, as they make an important discovery. The head of the discovery team said, "I dreamed of finding the Titanic since I was a boy." The second reason this book was good, was the excitement the author builds through detailing the final days of the Titanic's voyage. Chapters 2 through 4 tell the story of a 12-year-old survivor, Ruth Becker, and her family. When they were rescued the book read, "Mrs. Becker, Marion, and Richard threw their arms around her. Ruth's eyes filled with tears of relief." The overall theme of this book is to inform people of the discovery of the wrecked Titanic. ( )

An early chapter book authored by the man who discovered the Titanic. New and historic photographs, and illustrations supplement the text well.
