No Spoilers here Pretty good ending to a series I enjoyed, if found slightly repetitious by the finale. Great world building and wonderfully crafted characters pitting good vs. evil. This last book went on just a bit too long for me, or maybe the final battle happened just a bit too early, but I found the wind down chapters dragged a little. It was quite the ride and fun entertainment. What a journey the Rylee Adamson series has been. We have watched Rylee grow into a powerful woman, gain allies, lose friends and learn to use her powers to save the world. BLOOD OF LOST finishes off the series with a ton of emotion, action and an ending that left my heart smiling. I never find it easy to write a review on the last book in a series. I know it's important not to spoil anything, so I will keep this review kinda basic. Rylee definitely isn't the woman we first met in PRICELESS. She has overcome many obstacles in her life and has sacrificed even more, but she grew into so much more than I'm sure she ever imagined she would be. There is some love triangle type stuff going on in BLOOD OF THE LOST, but I enjoyed how it played out. I really enjoyed all the parts in BLOOD OF THE LOST with the babies. All the love for them shined through and Rylee's actions at the end really show what a great person she is and how much love she has to share. For those that have also been following Mayer's Elemental series, it was a bit weird seeing and reading about Lark in BLOOD OF THE LOST. A lot has happened in the many years spanning the timelines from where Larks series is currently and where BLOOD OF THE LOST takes place and this book just kept adding questions to the many questions I already had for the Elemental series. There is of course an epic battle in BLOOD OF THE LOST. People are lost, lives are changed and although I think some people will be sad, I don't think anyone will be disappointed at how everything happened. I have truly enjoyed the Rylee Adamson series and I'm sad to see it end, but I look forward to seeing what Mayer comes up with next. * This book was provided free of charge from the Author in exchange for an honest review. no reviews | add a review

Frank had grown on me. So had Milly.
Well then cousin.
Yeah I don't know about Faris. Good? Bad?
Jesus. The vampire Empress knew all along.
OMG Alex and Pamela sitting in a tree. Aww. Lol poor Cactus.
I think I'd forgotten Pamela and Berget are so young. Them trying on clothes together is sweet.
I hate love triangles.
...I don't know if I'm good with that.
The demons are going to fight with her. Well then.
Pamela is a total badass. And I love her so much.
But Blaz is supposed to ride with her to the final battle.
Fkn hell. Liam Faris Liam. Is that who I am? Fkn hell.
With a burst of speed that was inhumanly fast, Rylee leapt at Orion. The demon backpedaled right over the president’s desk and into his lap. “I’ll kill him.” He held the president up with one hand and Rylee shrugged. “Go for it. That’s why we have a vice president.”

Lmfao. Poor Mr President.
Hehe take that Orion.
Oh crap. Jeez Mayer, I can't take another fucking redeemed soul. Just let me hate someone. Please.
Ha. Go Alex!
Pamela is gaining more family. Yay!
Woaha. Blaz and Ophelia? After all the whinging he did? Fk. But damn Ophelia is a badass.
She clawed at the ground in front of her and dug out a long, heavy flying coat. I made Erik give me his for you. There were holes in the top of the coat. “You yanked it off him?” He didn’t believe me when I said Blaz was gone.

Hmm Ophelia and Rylee - girl power!
Doran’s green eyes were serious. “Now, we wait for Rylee and pray to the gods she arrives before Orion.” Closing his eyes, he tried not to worry that Rylee wouldn’t make it in time. But the woman had her own way of doing things, and it was rarely the way he would see them done. And showing up late to her own party? That had Rylee written all over it.

Yeah.
Erik is fucking stupid. Seriously? After everything - you take the kids there? To Amelia, Berget's mother?
The history lesson of where they all intersect is interesting.
Aww Eve and Marco teasing Alex for loving Pamela.
Huh the farm has a ceremonial slab. Nice. Just what you want in a home.
And all he wanted was a teddy bear.
Where the hell has India even been all this time? Who's been looking after her?
Lol Pamela manipulating the Elementals.
“Finley, I can take us all there in a matter of seconds.” She looked at me, and my hand on the weapon at my side. “Been making things you aren’t supposed to again?” Hell, had everyone heard of my indiscretions?

Poor Lark.
And there goes Alex uniting the packs and the half-breed trolls.
Woaha Deanna saving Rylee by sacrificing herself? Didn't see that coming.
OMFG! John and Mary. Holy fk. Did not see that coming. Grandmother really? Fk.
Lol. Orion be screwed.
More goodbyes? I don't wanna.
An army on both sides. I still don't like it. I don't wanna cry.
He let out a deep throated whine and closed his eyes. “Alex loves Rylee.”

Yep and that broke me.
Faris startled. Friend. “What would you call us?” More like brothers at this point. The vampire grunted. Liam couldn’t argue.

And now I'm fucking laughing and crying.
FUCKING HELL.
It's a truly talented author who can write a plot that even when you hate her decisions you can understand exactly why they were made and agree that it had to be done.
Even if you fucking hate it.
The alternative ending was just wrong. It didn't feel right. But this - as much as I hated it - it was how the story ended.
Hopefully Faris is right - it's not the end.
