As you read you count the amount of objects that are necessary in a party. The book is good to do share reading and have a Spanish speaker and a non Spanish speaker read the book together, however it would be more as a free reading book. The fact that the book count to ten in both languages it help the reader practice both languages with out feeling like it a task. I know when i was younger this book helped me understand the numbers in English because i had the Spanish ones underneath. This book was about a little girl getting ready for a party. The book talked about what items she needed, and how many she needed of them. The words were also translated in Spanish. This book is great to teach Spanish or English. The repetition will help students remember the saying "Que Mas?" or "What else?". The book is also good for counting. I used this book in another class as part of a listening/speaking activity geared towards the English language learners in the classroom. We paired it with a class discussion of what you would bring to your own party, fiesta, etc. Also used the book culturally to touch on the different ways of celebration. no reviews | add a review
