I don't really think I'm the _target demographic for "Naruto", but even then I thought I might enjoy it a little more than this? The art feels haphazard, busy, and is difficult to follow at times, and the characters are just super one-dimensional...sadly, there was nothing in this that felt exciting to me. I truly can't fathom reading more of this series, let alone another 70 . O.O ( ) 2.5 The story is rushed and underdeveloped, the art/choreography is at times confusing (at its worst nonsensical), and the exposition relies far too heavily on dialogue, often inserting lengthy explanations at awkward times, seriously hindering the pacing. Despite all this, it's quite readable and occasionally amusing. It boggles the mind though to think that this is one of the most highly acclaimed mangas of all time. I just got off of binge-reading 7 volumes of One Piece and this is SO better: charming character design (they're so cool!), faster-paced fights, better humor, and more mature themes. I say One Piece is for 10-year-old's? I'll say Naruto is for 14-year-old's! Key Takeaways: -It doesn't matter if you're born in a bad place, what matters is who you are. "He isn't the nine-tailed fox, he is Izumaki Naruto." -Finding acceptance and being recognized above external factors is an active process you work towards. no reviews | add a review
