Loading... Love on the Slopesby Amy ManemannI am grateful to have been given the chance to read an ARC of Love on the Slopes by Amy Manemann. My favorite romances are the ones where two people are blessed to rediscover the love they let slip through their fingers. Dominic and Jessa are perfect examples. Jessa and Dominic in their youth did not give their love a chance. Unexpectedly crossing paths years later will Dominic and Jessa find what they have been searching for all the years they were apart? Or will what has brought them together end up ruining the future that is within their grasps? A sweet and simple romance about not taking for granted the blessings given to you. Received Love on The Slopes for an honest review. ( ) Love on the Slopes is a very well written feel good story. The scenes are well set & the characters are well thought out & complex. While reading this book, I was drawn into the story and found myself hoping Jessa, Dominic & Dante were able to become a family. Amy was able to draw us into the story & convey the love in the relationship without a lot of "sex" scenes which is why I call this a family romance. I can't wait to read the rest of the series to see what happens to the rest of the family. Love on the Slopes by Amy Manemann is a 2015 publication. I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Jessa and Dom have an embarrassing past together, so Jessa is mortified with Dom is the man who swoops in and shatters her dream of owning a ski lodge. However, after she rethinks things she decides the two might make good business partners. But, the old attraction is still between them and is hard to deny. Can they become partners in life too? This is contemporary romance 101. If you enjoy Harlequin style romance novels you might like this one. The ski lodge makes for a romantic backdrop, but I have to say I didn't really feel the chemistry between this couple and both of them got on my nerves, not to mention a few cheap tricks from people in Dom's camp that would have infuriated me and I guess I'm not really the forgiving type because I would have considered this behavior toxic and unhealthy, no matter what their motives were. Jessa's brothers could be fun at times and annoying at others. Overall this isn't a bad story, the writing and formatting are good, and story is not without it's charm, I just found the characters annoying and there was nothing here that really stood out from any other books in this genre. 2.5 rounded to 3 |
