So far only read:

-- Lion Walk (2009) by Mary Rosenblum, narrated by Kate Baker - 3.5*
A very unique story. a novelette. hmmm, what to say...
Our MC is a type of zoo keeper. The story has a dystopian environment and SF elements of the tech to keep track of where the animals are and their "readings", perimeter security, etc... The "zoo" is full of animals that are being recreated with DNA. (I think). Our keeper comes across corpses of girls. Evidence shows they were both killed by lions. She is expected to euthanize the last remaining true lion for the killings but she knows there is no way the girls could have gotten in on their own and our MC is determined to figure out the mystery.

I'd read more by this author. RIP https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Rosenblum

sehr durchmischt diesmal, knapp die Hälfte leider ungenießbar

"Helio Music" by Mike Buckley *
einfach nur: häh?

"Fish Dance" by Eric Schwitzgebel *

"The Sentry Branch Predictor Spec: A Fairy Tale" by John Chu *

"Sephine and the Leviathan" by Jack Schouten **1/2

"Against the Stream" by A Que ** 1/2

"Nahiku West by Linda Nagata ***

"Lion Walk" by Mary Rosenblum ****
