Loading... The Icky Sticky Frogby Dawn BentleyOut came frog's tongue so sticky and long and... slurp the fly was gone. As the frog sits in the pond on a log he eyes creatures and eats them. In the end instead of the frog eating another creature it gets eaten by a fish. This book is very entertaning and the children LOVE it. My two year old class wants me to read this book everyday and over and over again. They like to recite parts of the book and get a good laugh. This book can help show children the food chain. A great book! The tongue got torn off within a week, but the story if the important part. It's predictable phrases are great for the pre-reader allowing them to read along. They get excited that they know the words that are coming; and with a great stroy teller, this book really comes alive. The surprise ending with the frog being eaten was definitly a curve ball. I thought the children would be offended in some way by this, however they laughed! Then asked for it again! Over and over and over again! |
