Because 'Biskies' was a lost story query (memorable).

Brianne N just helped me find the title of this book. I read it when I was in elementary school - and two stories really made an impression on me. The one describing the speeders (and their punishment) and the one about the cereal taking away intelligent thought.
I've thought about the book from time to time, but it wasn't until I started listing previously read books on my Shelfari account that I thought of it again. I realized with the internet search options I might be able to figure out what the book was called. Well, Brianne beat me to it, but that's okay.
Now to go find a copy of the book and read it again, just for old time's sake!

Update Oct 20,2010
Bought a copy of the book via Amazon.com - was hoping it would be a discard from my old elementary school, but it wasn't. Had fun reading the stories again. My memory about the "A Bowl of Biskies Makes a Growing Boy" story was definitely lacking. It was even more powerful to read it again.
Very interesting to read about the "futuristic" events of 1999 and 2006. ( )
