She is unable to do anything right in the eyes of her mother in law, who holds Caitlin up as the epitome of a good wife. Nico's brother Massimo, and his wife Lara, have a son, Sandro. The family dynamics are very complex and the book takes the reader through a roller coaster of emotions. It is so well written that you begin to think you are a part of the family. It is powerful, chilling, moving, thought provoking, and amazing. I couldn't put it down and highly recommend it. no reviews | add a review

The story is okay, the characters interesting - but I just didn't feel like there was anything here that stood out or made it amazing. It's a typical story of family dynamics that don't work and a few dysfunctional marriages that have secrets. But I felt like most of the surprises were either obvious or not all that shocking. Maybe I just wasn't pulled into the story enough - either way, it was just okay. ( )
