( ) In the previous comic Luke Leia, Han and the gang decide to steal a star destroyer in order to save the lives of those on a planet being blockaded by the Imperial Forces. They manage this by pretending to blow it up causing everyone to evacuate it. Only not everyone leaves. The Scar Command, an elite force of stormtroopers run by Sergeant Kreel, the Gamemaster, whom Luke has had a previous encounter with, has the ear of Darth Vader. Scar command plan on taking the ship back but fail and escape taking C3PO with them. Luke has been reading Obi Wan's journal and he has an idea where C3PO might be and heads out in that direction reading the journal entries as he goes along. It turns out that Yoda stumbled upon a planet that was heavy in the force but is run by kids with force rocks and arrows made from the rocks. But when he shows them what he can do and repels their attack they explain about how they're the Mudeaters and that there's a group of kids called the Rockhawkers who fight them for supremacy of the planet. Yoda soon finds himself being marched into the inside of the mountain by the Rockhawkers which is a death sentence, but instead, he finds the parents of the kids hidden under the mountain and an older kid who had been put down there long ago for being a coward to his group the Rockhawkers. He knows how to manipulate the rocks and teaches Yoda how to. The two of them uncover the heart of the mountain and discover that the mountain is really a giant that is weak. Yoda vows to save the children and the giants. But how? Any comic with Yoda is a great comic. He has so much to teach these people. But Luke comes across a different planet when he arrives. Also included is an Annual II where Leia is sick on the planet and being cared for by Pash Davane a former engineer but now is a garbage collector since the Empire has arrived at her planet and changed things. But she's no fan of the Rebels either. Somehow she must get Leia out of her rooms without the stormtroopers noticing. This is a great book with strong characters in it and a really good story. I give it five out of five stars. no reviews | add a review
