A quick, but great read. Harley and Taylor are married in a publicity stunt for her online audience. They couldn't possibly fall for each other before chaos erupts could they? ( )

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

Oh man, I want Harley for myself. Handsome, made of steel, and a survivalist by career and by choice, Harley is everything you don't expect, boasting a heart of gold and a kind, accepting nature. His wife, for television purposes, is snooty, beautiful, and hiding something that might actually make her a real person. Taylor should probably be the character we dislike, but K. Webster works her magic and gives Taylor a background readers cannot deny. There's chemistry between these two, no matter how they fight it, and the one night they share in the heat of the moment, and with alcohol's help, brings it all to the surface. I love that Harley recognizes it, though not as deeply at first, and that Taylor is the one fighting it. K. Webster breaks the rules with these two and it works perfectly. Then there's the terrorist attack that thrusts these two together, forced to survive the unknown. Things could have turned out so differently if Harley hadn't felt strong enough about Taylor to get her away from the life she thought she so desperately wanted.

Fast paced and action packed, Surviving Harley is an enticing novella that readers will devour and wish for more of. I felt the timeline jumped a bit, but reading this one only made me want to re-read The Road Back to Us, Harley's brother's book. It's panty-melting, jaw dropping, and perfectly K. Webster. ( )
