{My thoughts} – I’d like to say its your typical classroom, but it kind of is and it isn’t. You have a Mummy for a teacher and all your peers including yourself are monster children. It’s actually a rather cute little book, that I think is ideal to be read around Halloween.

The words and the illustration match the book perfectly. I like that it has a nice little lesson within it’s pages about acceptance and understanding. I also enjoyed the overall interaction between each of the characters within the book while trying to find the missing tooth. I like that the monster children worked together in an attempt to find it and then the monster child that was least likely to find it did.

I think that any child could enjoy this book. Especially if they have huge imaginations and enjoy reading about monsters. ( )

A book about being different but still fitting in. Not the same quality of other Jane Yolen books like her “How Do Dinosaurs?” series. The colorful illustrations by John McKinley are fun, however. ( )
