"A walk with a bushman" is een 308 blz lang interview van de Fransman Jean-Marc Pottiez met van der Post. In het boek komen tal van typische van der Post thema's naar voren: Zuid-Afrika, natuurbescherming, Jung, Japan en krijgsgevangenschap, Rusland, Churchill, MountBatten, de Bosjesmannen. Het is niet het boek om als eerste te lezen van zijn boeken, maar als je er al een aantal hebt gelezen is het zeer de moeite waard. Boeken die ik zelf van hem heb gelezen: "The lost world of the Kalahari ***", "The heart of the Hunter ***", "Venture into the interior **", "Journey into Russia **", "The seed and the sower ***" en "The whale and the hunter ****".
