Loading... Daughters of Isis: Women of Ancient Egypt (edition 1995)by Joyce A. Tyldesley (Author)Tyldesley produces a surprisingly thorough book on ancient women in Egypt--suprising in the sense that the time period she discusses is thousands of years ago, but Tyldesley manages to discuss the women so that they are relevant and fully-formed, even if information may be scarce at times. Occasionally Tyldesley's works can be dry and didactic, but this work is one of her best ones (along with Nefertiti). ( ) |
