The story here is sweet, just like the friendship between the two rabbits. There are positive messages about being a good friend, getting out of one’s comfort zone, and trying again after a perceived failure.
The language is pretty basic and straightforward, although I do feel like this book might appeal more to older kids (preschool through grade 2) than with younger infants and toddlers, largely because some of the concepts might be a bit over their heads. The watercolor illustrations are surprisingly bold and complement the story perfectly. ( )
