I keep trying to claim the same magic that I felt with Pet. This book was close in a lot of ways. However, I just didn't understand some of the relationships. The relationship between the heroine and her father never made sense. He loves her, blames her, threatens her, tried to sell her, and THEN he loves her again?! It just wasn't plausible. This was frustrating because I wanted so much for me to like this.

I appreciate the author and her hard work. This, however, was a miss for me. ( )
