Almost the end of this series my friend AC introduced me to several years ago. (I took a break after the first 10-12 books and only recently returned to the series.)

Faith's family comes to visit (and for her parents to attend the retreat).

Do you think Watson approached Betsy because he realized she was mourning the loss of her pet? Or because he felt he wasn't getting the attention he was due from Faith because of her focus on the upcoming wedding? (It took me a bit to realize it was a plot set up so that there wasn't a full blown search when Watson didn't appear for a while. And also a set up for a pet adoption later.) (

Book description

Hidden Treasures Literary and Gardening Retreat held at Castleton Manor. One of the main speakers is found dead--to complicate things, he seemed to have issues with quite a few of the retreat guests. Watson finds a rattling treasure which is confiscated by one of the retreat guests. Later, Watson gets himself into a pickle when he traps himself in a space no one realizes is there.
