This series is quickly becoming one of my favorites. It's both highly relatable and deeply disturbing. It's emotional too. Something is Killing the Children has elements of Stranger Things, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Twin Peaks, and A Quite Place in it's DNA but it's also it's own thing. It's bloody, and frightening. In Volume 2, now there's 5 little monsters running around hungry to kill more children. Most adults can't see them. We also learn some about the Order of St. George, and how Erica Slaughter became apart of the order. Dell'Edera's art is fantastic, bold, stylized, and gory when it needs to be! I'm excited to read the 3rd volume! I had to check that I hadn’t accidently picked up book one all over again as it starts similarly. Some boys daring themselves to go into the woods. Next there’s blood. This does pick up directly after book one. There are monster babies, and they need to die. More children around town will die if they’re not captured. Most of this book was back-and-forth about the organization sending help to Erica, (help she didn’t want) and saving more lives. The town is in shambles, and everyone’s scared. Only Erica slaughter has a chance of saving everyone. Book 2 ends with no ending and wait for book 3. no reviews | add a review

Erica Slaughter may have slain the monster terrorizing the small Wisconsin town of Archer's Peak, but the horror is far from over. As her mysterious handler arrives in town to clean up her mess and quarantine the townsfolk, Erica sets off deeper into the woods-because the monster she killed was a mother… and now she needs to kill its children. GLAAD Award-winning writer James Tynion IV (Batman, The Woods) and artist Werther Dell'Edera (Briggs Land) present the next chapter of the critically acclaimed series that showed the world a new kind of horror.
