Loading... Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead, Vol. 1by Haro Aso*A Thank you to Netgalley for allowing me to read this. This is my honest and uunbiased review* Hello Fellow Readers, I was really surprised at how fun this was and how much I really liked the main character Akira. You would think that a graphic novel about Zombies it would be a bit on the gore or angst side but it seems to just be a fun and while ride. Akira starts off as a naive, optimistic guy who starts getting the life sucked out of him when by his new corporate job at a black corporation. Eventually, he awakens one day to find out Zombies have invaded Tokyo. Any normal person would panic, but not Akira. He's been invigorated by his new found sense of freedo of being able to actually do the things he wants. So, he creates a bucket list of 100 things to try to do before he becomes a Zombie. I like the irony of being a corporate zombie, lacking freedom to do anything but work, then to suddenly be free by a actual zombie apocalypse. Overall, a surprisingly fun, fast-paced story. *A Thank you to Netgalley for allowing me to read this. Akira is stuck in a mind-numbing job he hates with long hours that prevent him from enjoying life. But now there’s a zombie apocalypse so what better time to get started on that long-neglected bucket list. But first - beer run! Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead, Vol. 1, the manga comic by Haro Aso flips the zombie genre on its head and, in doing so, creates a very entertaining and funny tale. The black and white art adds to the fast paced feel as Akira races to out run the zombies to get to the beer store before closing. I will admit I’m not normally a fan of manga but, lately I've been kinda in a reading slump so,when I saw this on Netgalley, I decided it would make a nice change of pace. What surprised me the most was how much I enjoyed it. A high recommendation for fans of manga, zombies, or, like me, just looking for a break from your usual reading choices. Thanks to Netgalley and VIZ Media for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review |

In all honesty this manga (so far) doesn't seem like anything special ( )
