Undercover work, a motley crew on a mission, a prison break, there was a lot of opportunity for excitement and humor. It ends with a fair bit of resolution, but it was still kind of a cliffhanger on some major points. I wouldn't mind so much if I could just pick up the next book or something, but I don't think there currently IS one. So I'll just be left wondering, which is a bit lame. But, overall I enjoyed this and am happy I read it. ( ) Uh oh. Bunny is in jail. Not just your county jail, either. A full-scale penitentiary. Now he has a new set of friends, sort of. Plenty of complications for his old friends and his new ones, as usual we are in suspense, hoping he can win in the end. May I just say a word about the cover art on the McDonnell books? It makes me really want to buy the books and have them on my shelves. Fantastic. These books are addicting, beware. This was a truly fantastic book. I loved it. Bunny McGarry's attempt to continue his search for his old girlfriend hits a huge problem when he is required to go to jail in order to break out of jail bringing with him another prisoner! If you think that's complicated then the way he did it will blow your mind - and it does include the use of a UFO spaceship. A wonderful storey full of twists and turns. no reviews | add a review

Getting into prison is easy, it's getting out that's tricky. Almost everyone in prison will tell you they're in there for a crime they didn't commit, but Anthony Rourke "really" means it. That's because he's "actually" Bunny McGarry, who has got himself into one of Nevada's finest penitentiaries under false pretenses. He is there to bust someone else out. The Sisters of the Saint, no ordinary bunch of nuns, find themselves caught between a rock and a hard place when two of their orders are taken hostage. The only way to ensure their safe return is to trade them for the mysterious man who is now Bunny's cellmate. Rumors abound as to who this man "really" is, but seeing as nobody is allowed to communicate with him in any way, figuring that out will be tricky. The last thing the situation needs is further complications, but when Sister Dionne comes into contact with a UFO cult, she recognizes it as a massive con job. The reason she is so sure is that the whole thing was her idea in the first place and now she is determined to put an end to it. The clock is ticking, the prison authorities are suspicious, and lying low has never been a McGarry strong suit. Can Bunny and the Sisters pull off an audacious prison break against near-impossible odds? No library descriptions found. |
