This is a cute picture book showing the process of planting things in a way that even the youngest reader will like. Recommended for 1-100. ;) P.S. Halloween is mentioned for those that don't celebrate the holiday. I voluntarily received and reviewed a complimentary e/copy of this book which I received from the author/publisher. All views expressed are only my honest opinion. I thought this was going to be the typical let it grow type of book about various things growing and thriving. But it was just about pumpkins and what you could do with them through various stages of growth. But the story is to let these pumpkins grow and grow and grow. Grow so big that they can be hollowed out and used as boats. I didn’t know this was a thing until this book, and I am so enthused that googling will be done next. The other thing that makes this book stand out is the inclusion of a Black farming family. It’s nice to see diversity in farming books. It has been sorely lacking. Did you know that if you plant Dill's Giant Pumpkins seeds and let it grow and grow it can be so big you can enter it into the State Fair!? And maybe even hollow it out and decorate it and join the Windsor Pumpkin Regatta?! Loved this wonderfully illustrated book full of vivid colors! I requested and received a free temporary ebook copy from Capstone/Capstone Editions via NetGalley. Thank you! no reviews | add a review
